Mr. Aoyama is the head designer of Factory900, a company known for its creative approach toward acetate frames. He now has an eponymous collection of exquisitely crafted titanium eyewear, and I’m delighted to introduce his work to Chicago. One side of the titanium rim has been removed, and replaced by a nylon cord…an atypical twist on an octagonal lens shape. The frame has a “damaged” and distressed patina.
