Mr. Aoyama is the head designer of Factory900, a company known for its creative approach toward acetate frames. He now has an eponymous collection of exquisitely crafted titanium eyewear, and I’m delighted to introduce his work to Chicago. This design playfully deconstructs a traditional round lens shape by removing part of the curved rim, and replacing it with a straight bar. The frame’s finish is satin gold with a brown pinstripe around the rim.
